He started his private practice, exclusively in Periodontics in 1986 in Chembur, a north-east suburb of Mumbai, India. His vision of creating a clinic with all specialities available under one roof, has taken shape in the form of the recently expanded clinic with four associate dentists. He has a keen interest in computers and has written a book on computers, created various software for different industries and developed a comprehensive dental management program including an Intra-Oral imaging system running under the Windows environment. His latest venture is setting up this dental website.

Dr. Ajay Kakar crashed into Nair Hospital Dental College in
1978 and crashed out with a post-graduate degree from the same college
in the subject of Periodontology in 1986. He was working as a Registrar in the
Department of Periodontology, cashing in his life's first earnings, when he was trapped into marriage by his now wife, Dr. Mona Kakar. He continued in his post till 1986, a shortwhile before his wife was to graduate.
